Dr Andy HeeleyResearch Associate - Hydrogen

    Andy is a Research Associate in Hydrogen and Zero-Carbon Fuels at the Translational Energy Research Centre and Sustainable Aviation Fuels Innovation Centre.

    His principal responsibilities are to develop the hydrogen and zero-carbon fuels combustion facilities at the Energy Innovation Centre and use the facilities for research and experimentation of hydrogen as an industrial fuel for decarbonisation. He is also responsible for the electrolyser and storage facilities that supply hydrogen to the site and for implementing work on the PEM fuel cells and multi-parameter fuel cell test station.

    He has experience in the specification, commissioning and optimisation of high temperature processes and associated measurement and control systems; joining the team in 2022 from a background of research and technology deployment in manufacturing.
